# Helpful Hints:

01 -
  • It comes together in under 10 minutes, so you can serve something impressive without abandoning your guests or melting in the kitchen.
  • The natural sweetness of watermelon means you're not dumping sugar into every sip like some drinks do.
  • One batch easily serves a crowd if you scale it up, making it perfect for gatherings where someone always requests a non-alcoholic option.
02 -
  • Don't skip the straining step—pulpy watermelon looks less refined and the texture changes everything about how the drink feels in your mouth.
  • Watermelon oxidizes and darkens once blended, so make this as close to serving time as you can; it'll taste fresher and look more gorgeous.
03 -
  • Pre-chill your glasses in the freezer for 15 minutes before serving so the drink stays cold longer and you get that satisfying frost on the outside.
  • If you want a slushier texture, blend a handful of ice cubes into the watermelon base instead of adding it separately, and serve without the sparkling water layered on top.
